๐ Contents
HMG (Human Menopausal Gonadotropin) is a hormonal preparation derived from the urine of postmenopausal women that contains both follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) in a 1:1 ratio. It is used in research and clinical settings to stimulate follicular development and spermatogenesis.
HMG has been used in reproductive medicine for over 50 years and is a standard treatment in fertility research. It contains 75 IU of FSH and 75 IU of LH per ampoule (75 IU total). HMG is available in pen and freeze-dried vial formulations for research purposes.
HMG works through multiple mechanisms to support reproductive function:
Stimulates follicular growth and maturation in the ovaries
Stimulates theca cells and supports steroidogenesis
Stimulates sperm production in males
HMG acts directly on the gonads to stimulate gamete production and steroid hormone synthesis.
Studying follicular development and ovulation induction
Researching sperm production and male fertility
Investigating gonadotropin signaling and regulation
Studying the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis
Ovulation Induction
Spermatogenesis Research

โ ๏ธ Always use a new sterile needle and syringe for each injection.
HMG has been used clinically for over 50 years with a well-established safety profile. Adverse events are generally mild and dose-dependent.
Important Safety Considerations:
โ ๏ธ Warning: HMG stimulates ovarian function. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a potential risk. If you experience severe allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, or signs of anaphylaxis, seek immediate medical help.
